until you have carefully examined every phase of the subject–beware of any belief that is afraid of investigation.

and that the man or woman who has to earn his or her living by the sweat of his or her brow is unfit to associate with you; because any thing with such a belief is uncivilized.

and then denounce other persons for not guessing as you did.

simply because you do not know the truth, and would rather believe a lie than be without a belief.

for your belief too readily–it may be without any foundation, and not worth fighting for.

that what you believe must be true.  Remember that belief is generally a child of circumstances, and is not reliable.
